ਹੁਣ 100 ਅਤੇ 200 ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਨੋਟ ਆਉਣਗੇ, RBI ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ

 ਭਾਰਤੀ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ ਬੈਂਕ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਗਵਰਨਰ ਸੰਜੇ ਮਲਹੋਤਰਾ ਦੇ ਦਸਤਖਤ ਵਾਲੇ 100 ਅਤੇ 200 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਨੋਟ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ। 

ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਬੈਂਕ ਨੇ ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। RBI ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੋਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਹਰ ਪੱਖੋਂ ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ (ਨਵੀਂ) ਲੜੀ ਦੇ 100 ਅਤੇ 200 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਨੋਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ।"

ਭਾਰਤੀ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ ਬੈਂਕ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ 100 ਅਤੇ 200 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨੋਟ ਵੈਧ ਮੁਦਰਾ ਬਣੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ। ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਲਹੋਤਰਾ ਨੇ ਦਸੰਬਰ 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਆਰਬੀਆਈ ਗਵਰਨਰ ਦਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਾਂਤ ਦਾਸ ਦੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਲਈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਲ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਸਤੀਫਾ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced that it will soon release Rs 100 and Rs 200 banknotes featuring the signature of the newly appointed Governor, Sanjay Malhotra. According to an official statement issued on Tuesday, the design of these new notes will closely resemble that of the existing Rs 100 and Rs 200 notes in circulation under the Mahatma Gandhi (New) series. The move is part of the RBI's regular process of updating currency notes while ensuring minimal disruption to the public.

The RBI also reassured the public that all previously issued Rs 100 and Rs 200 notes, bearing the signature of former RBI Governors, will remain valid and continue to be accepted as legal tender. These notes will coexist alongside the new ones, ensuring a smooth transition for both consumers and businesses.

This announcement comes shortly after Sanjay Malhotra assumed office as the 26th Governor of the RBI in December 2024. Malhotra replaced Shaktikanta Das, who completed his extended term as the RBI Governor. Under Malhotra’s leadership, the RBI is expected to focus on strengthening the financial system and addressing current economic challenges.
