ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗਰੀਬ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ, ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਲਾਭ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ, ਘਰ ਦੇ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਣ 'ਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ 20,000 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ, ਮਹਿਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਲ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾ. ਬਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ (ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਜਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ) ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਸੂਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ, ਗਰੀਬ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ, ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਮਾਪਦੰਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦਾ ਲਾਭ ਲੈ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਔਰਤ, ਜੋ ਘਰ ਦੀ ਆਮਦਨ ਦਾ ਸਰੋਤ ਹੈ, ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਘਰ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਮੁਖੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਉਸਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਤੀ-ਪਤਨੀ, ਨਾਬਾਲਗ ਬੱਚੇ, ਅਣਵਿਆਹੀਆਂ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਮਾਪੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਜੇਕਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਅਣਵਿਆਹੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਉਸਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਭਰਾ/ਭੈਣ ਜਾਂ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
ਧਿਆਨ ਦੇਣ ਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ 18 ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਅਤੇ 60 ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ 2011 ਦੀ ਮਰਦਮਸ਼ੁਮਾਰੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਗਰੀਬੀ ਰੇਖਾ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ-ਆਰਥਿਕ ਜਾਤੀ ਵਰਗੀਕਰਣ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਇਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦਾ ਲਾਭ ਲੈ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਕੀਮ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਭਲਾਈ ਵੱਲ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਕਦਮ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਗ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਲਾਭ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।

Sharing more information in this regard, Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that in case of any type of death (due to natural or other reasons), poor families, if they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, can take advantage of this scheme. She said that any woman in the family, who is the source of income of the family, will also be considered as the earning head of the household and this assistance will also be provided to her family. Under this scheme, the word family will include husband and wife, minor children, unmarried girls and dependent parents. In case of death of an unmarried person, this assistance will be given to the younger brother/sister or dependent parents of his family.
It is worth noting that the death of the earning head should be more than 18 years and less than 60 years of age. Apart from this, financial assistance will be given in every case of death of the deceased earning head. He also said that families falling below the poverty line as per the 2011 census and falling under the socio-economic caste classification can avail the benefit of this scheme. The Minister concluded by saying that this scheme is another important step of the Punjab Government towards social welfare and eligible persons can contact their District Social Security Officer to avail it.
