ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਗਾਇਕਾ ਸੁਨੰਦਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਇਨ੍ਹੀਂ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਸੁਰਖੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਾਇਕਾ ਨੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਤਾ ਪਿੰਕੀ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ 'ਤੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਏ ਹਨ।

ਉਸਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ- 'ਉਸਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਕਈ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕੱਲੀ ਰੋਂਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਖੁਦਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਸੋਚਦੀ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ 'ਤੇ ਮੁਸਕਰਾਹਟ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਲਿਆਂਦੀਆਂ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈ ਸਕਦੀ ਹਾਂ।

ਇੱਥੇ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਈਏ ਕਿ ਸੁਨੰਦਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ 'ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮੀ ਮਿਊਜ਼ਿਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਡਿਊਸਰ ਪੁਸ਼ਪਿੰਦਰ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ਉਰਫ਼ ਪਿੰਕੀ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਪਰ ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਲਸ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਤੋਂ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਸੁਨੰਦਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੁਹਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਪੁਲਸ ਮੁਖੀ ਦੀਪਕ ਪਾਰਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ’ਚ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ’ਤੇ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਸ਼ੋਸ਼ਣ, ਧੋਖਾਧੜੀ, ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤੀ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਦਸਤਖਤ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ, ਬਦਨਾਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਧਮਕੀਆਂ ਦੇਣ ਤੇ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਦੀ ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਕਬਜ਼ੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਥਾਣਾ ਮਟੌਰ ਦੀ ਪੁਲਸ ਨੇ ਆਈ. ਪੀ. ਸੀ. ਦੀ ਧਾਰਾ 406, 420, 465, 467, 468, 341, 500, 506 ਤਹਿਤ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
Punjabi singer Sunanda Sharma has recently made shocking allegations against music producer Pinky Dhaliwal. According to Sunanda, Dhaliwal failed to pay her for her songs and subjected her to severe mental harassment. Himanshi took to her Instagram to share her own struggles, stating that in 2017, she was out of work for seven months and had no money, but fought through the difficult situation on her own. She emphasized that the hardships faced by artists, especially those from humble backgrounds, are common in the industry. "I can understand and feel it," she wrote, offering solidarity to Sunanda.
In an emotional Instagram post, Sunanda Sharma opened up about the mental abuse she endured. She expressed that the issue wasn’t just about money, but about the emotional toll it took on her. She described how many aspiring artists, especially those from middle-class families, are often exploited by people who take advantage of their dreams and hard work. "They steal from our earnings and make us feel like beggars," Sunanda said. She also shared how, for days, she would cry alone in her room, even contemplating suicide at times, yet continued to put on a brave face, fearing that revealing her struggles might lead to further complications.
Sunanda further mentioned that she had been asking for help for the past two years but only found support when Punjab’s Chief Minister took note of her case. "Thank you to CM Sahib, who not only listened to me but also showed concern for the countless other women who have been silenced and unable to fight for their rights," she expressed. She also thanked the Punjabi media for their crucial support, acknowledging that it helped amplify her voice.
As a result of Sunanda's complaint, Pinky Dhaliwal, a prominent producer in Punjab’s music industry, was arrested by the police. However, the High Court later ordered his release. In her complaint to the Mohali District Police Chief, Sunanda accused Dhaliwal of financial exploitation, cheating, coercion, and illegal possession of her property. The case was registered under various sections of the IPC, including those related to cheating, fraud, and defamation.
This case highlights the dark side of the entertainment industry, where artists, particularly those new to the field, often find themselves vulnerable to exploitation and mistreatment by powerful individuals. Sunanda’s brave decision to speak out could inspire other artists to stand up for their rights and raise awareness about the mental and financial struggles faced by many in the industry.
