ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨਧਾਰਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੀ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ਖ਼ਬਰੀ, ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਵੇਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਜਾਰੀ

 ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮੁਕਤਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ (ਪਵਨ ਤਨੇਜਾ, ਖੁਰਾਣਾ) : ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਧਾਰਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਜਨਵਰੀ 2025 ਤੱਕ ਦੀ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ 3708.57 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਵੰਡੇ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। 

ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ, ਇਸਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਲ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾ. ਬਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾ. ਬਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਹਰ ਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਵੱਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਖ—ਵੱਖ ਵਰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੁੱਲ 34.09 ਲੱਖ ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ, ਦਿਵਿਆਂਗ, ਵਿਧਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਸਹਾਰਾ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਸ਼ਰਿਤ ਬੱਚੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿਚ ਕੁੱਲ 22.64 ਲੱਖ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਜਨਵਰੀ 2025 ਤੱਕ ਦੀ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ 3708.57 ਕਰੋੜ ਵੰਡੇ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬੁਢਾਪਾ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਸਕੀਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੁੱਲ 5924.50 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਬਜਟ ਰਾਖਵਾਂ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬੁਢਾਪਾ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਚਾਲੂ ਸਾਲ ਦੌਰਾਨ 4000 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਬਜਟ ਦਾ ਉਪਬੰਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। 

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਫੰਡ ਵਿਚ ਬਕਾਇਆ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਤਹਿ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਅਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕੁਤਾਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਪਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ/ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾ. ਬਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਾਣ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਿਤ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀਮਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਅਦਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਜਾਵੇ।

Punjab Government Distributes Rs 3708.57 Crore in Pension to Senior Citizens

In a significant move towards social welfare, the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has disbursed a total of Rs 3708.57 crore in pension payments to elderly beneficiaries up until January 2025. This announcement was made by Dr. Baljit Kaur, the state's Cabinet Minister for Social Security, Women, and Child Development.

Dr. Kaur highlighted that the government's commitment to the welfare of various sections of society remains strong, with a total of 34.09 lakh beneficiaries across the state. These beneficiaries include the elderly, disabled individuals, widows, destitute women, and dependent children. Among these, 22.64 lakh senior citizens are receiving pensions, benefiting from the government's efforts to ensure financial security for its older population.

The state government has allocated a budget of Rs 5924.50 crore for pensions and other financial assistance programs. Of this, Rs 4000 crore has been earmarked specifically for old age pensions during the current fiscal year. Dr. Kaur also directed government officials to ensure that all outstanding pension payments are processed promptly and within the designated time frame. She emphasized that any delays or negligence in the pension disbursement process would not be tolerated, and those responsible for any such issues would be held accountable.

Reaffirming the government's dedication to supporting the elderly, Dr. Kaur emphasized that senior citizens are regarded as the pride of Punjab, and the timely payment of their pensions is a top priority for the state.
