ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਇੱਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਜੂਝਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਦਰਅਸਲ, ਬੱਲੂਆਣਾ ਹਲਕੇ ਦੇ 2 ਦਰਜਨ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਕੇ ਦੀ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਅਬੋਹਰ-ਫਾਜ਼ਿਲਕਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਰਾਜਮਾਰਗ 'ਤੇ ਨਵੀਂ ਅਨਾਜ ਮੰਡੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ। ਕਿਸਾਨ ਆਗੂ ਜਗਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਭਗ 1000 ਤੋਂ 1500 ਏਕੜ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਹੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਦਿਹਾੜੀਦਾਰ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਹਨ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ 2005 ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਦਲ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮਲੋਟ ਦੇ ਲੰਬੀ ਹਲਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬੱਲੂਆਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਬੋਹਰ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਰੇਨੇਜ ਨਾਲੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਲਤ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੁਣ ਬੱਲੂਆਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਬੋਹਰ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਸਥਾਈ ਹੱਲ ਨਾ ਲੱਭਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਬੰਜਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮੰਗ ਪੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਨਿਕਾਸੀ ਲਈ ਨਾਲੀਆਂ 15 ਫੁੱਟ ਤੱਕ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਦਾ ਹੱਲ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ। ਇਹ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਫਿਲਟਰ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਨਾਲ ਹੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ। ਕਿਸਾਨ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੀਟਿੰਗਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਮੇਟੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਦੇ ਹੱਲ ਲਈ ਲਹਿਰ ਚਲਾਈ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।

Farmers of Punjab are seen struggling with a new problem. In fact, a meeting of farmers regarding the increasing problem of drought in 2 dozen villages of Balluana constituency was held at the Kisan Bhawan of the Market Committee located in the new grain market on the Abohar-Fazilka national highway. He said that in 2005, during the Badal government, there was a problem of waterlogging in Lambi constituency of Malout. To end the problem of waterlogging in that area, drainage canals were built in Balluana and Abohar areas. But due to their improper construction, now the problem of waterlogging has arisen in Balluana and Abohar areas.

If a permanent solution is not found, the farmers' land will become barren. A demand letter was given to the District Deputy Commissioner in this regard a few days ago, after which he visited the area, but they demand that drains for water drainage be made up to 15 feet and they be strengthened so that the problem of waterlogging can be solved. This problem is not going to be solved with a filter system. The farmer leaders said that meetings will be held in the villages and committees will be formed so that a movement can be launched to solve this problem.
