ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦ ਹੋਲਸੇਲ ਜਨਰਲ ਮਰਚੈਂਟਸ ਵੈਲਫੇਅਰ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੱਗਾ, ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਅਨਿਲ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਲ ਅਤੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਭੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਟਾਰੀ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਬਰਤਨ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ, ਗੁਰੂ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ, ਪਾਪੜੀ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ, ਲਾਲ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ, ਪੀਰ ਬੋਦਲਾ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ, ਭੱਟ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ, ਵਿਆਸ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ, ਕੈਂਚੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਗਲੀ, ਕਾਦੇਸ਼ਾਹ ਚੌਕ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਪੀਰ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਆਦਿ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਮਨਿਆਰੀ, ਹੌਜ਼ਰੀ, ਰੈਡੀਮੇਡ ਗਾਰਮੈਂਟਸ, ਆਰਟੀਫੀਸ਼ੀਅਲ ਜਿਊਲਰੀ, ਪਲਾਸਟਿਕ ਦੇ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਨਰਲ ਮਰਚੈਂਟ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੁਕਾਨਾਂ ਪੂਰੇ ਦਿਨ ਲਈ ਬੰਦ ਰਹਿਣਗੀਆਂ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ, ਸੁਨਿਆਰਾ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ 14 ਮਾਰਚ ਤੋਂ 15 ਮਾਰਚ ਤੱਕ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸੁਨਿਆਰਾ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਦੀਪਕ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭੱਟਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਗਲੀ, ਲਾਲ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ, ਪਾਪੜੀਆ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ, ਜੁਆ ਖਾਨਾ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ, ਛੱਤੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਗਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਹਲੀਆ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੁਕਾਨਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਰਹਿਣਗੀਆਂ। 

ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ, ਅੱਡਾ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ਅੱਡਾ ਟਾਂਡਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਈ ਹੀਰਾ ਗੇਟ ਟਰੇਡਰਜ਼ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ (ਰਜਿਸਟਰਡ) ਵੱਲੋਂ 14 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਲੀ ਦੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਮੌਕੇ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਬੰਦ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਦੀਪਕ ਜੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਰਬਸੰਮਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਵੀ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਬੰਦ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਅਧੀਨ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੁਕਾਨਾਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਰਹਿਣਗੀਆਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨਰੀ ਦੇ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ, ਦੁਕਾਨਾਂ ਆਖਰੀ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਰਹਿਣਗੀਆਂ।

Markets in Jalandhar to Remain Closed on March 14 Due to Various Announcements

Residents of Jalandhar are set to experience a complete shutdown in several market areas on Friday, March 14. The Attari Bazaar, along with nearby wholesale markets including Guru Bazar, Papdi Bazar, Lal Bazar, Peer Bodla Bazar, Bhatt Market, Vyas Market, Manyari, Hosiery, and Readymade markets located in Kainchiyan Wali Gali, Kadeshah Chowk, and Panjpir Bazar, will remain closed throughout the day. This decision was announced by the Wholesale General Merchants Welfare Association, with President Sukhwinder Singh Baga, General Secretary Anil Nishchal, and Chairman Bhupinder Jain all confirming the closure. The shops in these areas, including those selling garments, artificial jewelry, plastic goods, and general merchandise, will not operate.

Meanwhile, the Sunyara Jalandhar Association has also declared a holiday from March 14 to March 15. The association's President, Deepak Nischal, shared that shops in Bhatta Wali Gali, Lal Bazar, Papadiya Bazaar, Jua Khana Bazaar, Chhati Wali Gali, and Kohliya Bazaar will also remain closed on these days.

Adding to the list of closures, the "Adha Hushyarpur Adha Tanda" and "Mai Hira Gate Traders Ashog (Registered)" markets will be shut down on March 14 in observance of the Holi festival. Association President Deepak Joshi confirmed that this decision follows the annual tradition of closing the markets during the Holi festival, as agreed upon by the association officials during their meeting. Additionally, shops under the association, which recently opened for the season of books and stationery, will remain closed on Friday as well.

The closure of these markets is expected to have a significant impact on local trade, as many businesses rely heavily on foot traffic and daily sales in these bustling areas. Local residents, especially those who rely on these markets for daily shopping, have been advised to plan ahead for any necessary purchases before Friday. Traders in the wholesale sector have expressed their support for the closure, citing the importance of maintaining traditions and the festive spirit during Holi.
