ਹੋਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਠੀਕ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਰ ‘ਚ ਪੈਟਰੋਲ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਚੂਨ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ‘ਚ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਤੇਲ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਥਾਵਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਟੌਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ
ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਤੇਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਗਲੋਬਲ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ‘ਚ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਤੇਲ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ‘ਚ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਘਟਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਦਿੱਲੀ-ਮੁੰਬਈ ਵਰਗੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਮਹਾਨਗਰਾਂ ‘ਚ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਤੇਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ‘ਚ ਕੋਈ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਤੇਲ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਯੂਪੀ ਦੇ ਗੌਤਮ ਬੁੱਧ ਨਗਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਟਰੋਲ 26 ਪੈਸੇ ਮਹਿੰਗਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ 94.98 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਲੀਟਰ ਵਿਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਵੀ 30 ਪੈਸੇ ਵਧ ਕੇ 88.13 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਲੀਟਰ ‘ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ। ਗਾਜ਼ੀਆਬਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਟਰੋਲ 26 ਪੈਸੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਕੇ 94.39 ਰੁਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ 30 ਪੈਸੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਕੇ 87.45 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਲੀਟਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਬਿਹਾਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਪਟਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਟਰੋਲ 22 ਪੈਸੇ ਵਧ ਕੇ 105.58 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਲੀਟਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ 20 ਪੈਸੇ ਮਹਿੰਗਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ 92.94 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਲੀਟਰ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਕੱਚੇ ਤੇਲ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਪਿਛਲੇ 24 ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ‘ਚ ਇਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ‘ਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਬ੍ਰੈਂਟ ਕਰੂਡ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਕਰੀਬ ਡੇਢ ਡਾਲਰ ਵਧ ਕੇ 72.75 ਡਾਲਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਬੈਰਲ ‘ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਡਬਲਯੂ.ਟੀ.ਆਈ. ਦੀ ਦਰ ਵੀ ਕਾਫੀ ਵਧ ਕੇ $68.81 ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਬੈਰਲ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

ਪੈਟਰੋਲ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਸਵੇਰੇ 6 ਵਜੇ ਬਦਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਨਵੀਆਂ ਦਰਾਂ ਸਵੇਰੇ 6 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਪੈਟਰੋਲ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਕਸਾਈਜ਼ ਡਿਊਟੀ, ਡੀਲਰ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ, ਵੈਟ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਜੋੜਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਅਸਲ ਕੀਮਤ ਤੋਂ ਲਗਭਗ ਦੁੱਗਣੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੈਟਰੋਲ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਇੰਨੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
On Thursday, just ahead of the Holi festival, retail prices of petrol and diesel were revised across the country. State-owned oil companies made adjustments in certain areas, lowering prices in some locations while increasing them in others. Despite the rising global oil market, most cities saw a reduction in fuel prices. However, there were no changes in the fuel prices in the four major metropolitan cities—Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata.
As per state-owned oil companies, petrol in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, rose by 26 paise to Rs 94.98 per litre, while diesel saw an increase of 30 paise, reaching Rs 88.13 per litre. In Ghaziabad, petrol dropped by 26 paise to Rs 94.39, and diesel saw a decrease of 30 paise, priced at Rs 87.45 per litre. In Patna, Bihar, petrol prices surged by 22 paise to Rs 105.58, and diesel prices rose by 20 paise, now at Rs 92.94 per litre.
On the global front, crude oil prices saw a significant increase within the past 24 hours. Brent crude rose by approximately $1.5, reaching $72.75 per barrel, while WTI crude climbed to $68.81 per barrel.
Petrol and diesel prices in the four major metros are as follows:
- Delhi: Petrol Rs 94.72, Diesel Rs 87.62 per litre
- Mumbai: Petrol Rs 103.44, Diesel Rs 89.97 per litre
- Chennai: Petrol Rs 100.76, Diesel Rs 92.35 per litre
- Kolkata: Petrol Rs 104.95, Diesel Rs 91.76 per litre
Changes have also occurred in other regions:
- Ghaziabad: Petrol Rs 94.39, Diesel Rs 87.45 per litre
- Noida: Petrol Rs 94.98, Diesel Rs 88.13 per litre
- Patna: Petrol Rs 105.58, Diesel Rs 92.42 per litre
The new rates are announced every day at 6 am, and these adjustments reflect the constant fluctuation in global crude prices. The taxes and duties added to the base prices of petrol and diesel, including excise duty, VAT, dealer commissions, and other charges, contribute to the final price being nearly double the original cost of crude oil. This complex pricing structure is one of the key reasons why fuel prices are so high across the country.
The fuel price changes are also influenced by geopolitical factors, such as OPEC decisions and supply chain disruptions. With festivals like Holi approaching, many people rely on transportation for family gatherings, making fuel price fluctuations even more impactful. The oil companies are likely to continue monitoring the global markets and adjust prices accordingly, depending on the trends in crude oil prices.
